Basic sock poi, perfect for beginners wanting to learn how to play. The thick cloth “ropes” mean they don’t tangle as much and are more forgiving.
These ones come in funky stripes.
POI is the Maori word for “ball on a cord”. It was used to increase their flexibility and strength in their hands and arms as well as improving coordination.
Today it is used all over the world and is not only a fun thing to do, but it is also a great low impact exercise for the body, improves co-ordination, self-image, confidence, increases brain functionality, and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. 🙂
